Participate: The main part of the Wiki Loves Monuments contest is the photo contest. Photos of registered monuments in Norway must be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons during October to qualify. The photos can be taken at any time, but only photos uploaded during the month of October will be judged. The winners will be announced on November 30, 2022.

	Step 1. Find monuments to photograph You can find monuments near you by using the map on Kulturminnesøk or the relevant lists on the Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia. Make note of the monument ID.
	Step 2. Photograph the monument
	Step 3. Upload your photos Upload the photos you have taken to Wikimedia Commons during October using the button below. Remember to add the monument ID from step 1 in the upload form.

Writing contest: Like in previous years, Wikimedia Norge will also organize a writing contest that runs during the photo contest. During October the monthly contest on the Wikipedias in Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk and Northern Sámi will be about monuments in Norway. In order to participate you need to register for the writing contest.

About Wiki Loves Monuments: Wiki Loves Monuments was first organized in the Netherlands in 2010. In 2011 the contest was expanded to a number of European countries, and in 2012 it went global with 35 participating countries from all over the world. Since then, more than 1,7 million pictures have been submitted by 60,000 participants. The contest has helped to document 1,5 million monuments. In 2022 a national contest will be held in more than 40 countries all over the world, and Wikimedia Norge is organizing the Norwegian part of the contest for the eleventh time.
