Longyearbyen coal pits and ropeway conveyors

English: This page is a collection of photographs of former coal mining pits near Longyearbyen on Svalbard, Norway and the remains of the ropeway conveyors transporting the coal to the seaside loading facility. Most of it has been installed prior to 1946 and is, therefore, automatically protected as a cultural heritage site under Norwegian law.
