Manual numbering

I think this template should be changed so that if you define both number= and category=, it links to the category provided but displays the number you give. I just organized my own photos into various subcategories, with this being the result, but now I can't add a link to the category. darkweasel94 15:24, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Doesn't work here

Hi, I use this template at my user page User:Emha, but it doesn't count anymore. The text is This user has uploaded own photos to Commons. The Category:Files by Emha exists and contains files, so I can't imagine what's the reason. Thanks in advance, --Emha (talk) 10:45, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
