**A short presentation**
I joined Wiki Media Commons late in September 2019 after having seen a banner advertisement for Wiki Loves Monuments. I was really so inspired, quite on fire, so I looked through what I already had taken of images since there weren't time to go out and shoot new ones. I worked on some of them in Gimp / Gmic and uploaded nine images 30. September 2019. Of course it's fun with competition, of course the thought of maybe being able to win is fun. But that wasn't my main motivation. I was ever so impressed of such a great community of sharing, common interest, people from all over the world giving and receiving, and the general quality of the images are really good. And then there is this issue of being able to contribute to Wiki, giving something back to an organisation that does so much good for the world, a live encyclopedia growing every day – and everyone being able to take part of it! Heart bulb with text made to spread love in this world But something happened that took away most of my motivation. Some of my images were tempered with and abused. There is a history of hate / haters / hacking / hackers behind this. I stopped all my activities on Wiki and thought I better conquer the hate before I continue. How long would that have taken? I now realize that it could have taken forever. And I realized that what I was doing, was to give the haters / hackers what they wanted, that kind of attitude would be to give up and give in to the haters. And that I am not willing to do! So I decided I had to continue, but now with a focus that isn't possible for any hate to conquer – focus on love. I have made an image focusing on love, and there might come more of the same kind. Later on I can contribute with more monument images, which of course are of great importance for an encyclopedia, but at the moment love and light has to be in focus. I have learned something about hate during the years I have been exposed to it. It all began in 1990 when I engaged in the freedom movement for Eastern Europe. Hate is such an absurd thing, meaningless and blind. Personally I do believe that many “good people” are trapped into such things, partly not knowing what they are doing, partly being trapped into things which are difficult to get out of even if they should want to. An absurd enemy image is created. People that are meant to cooperate, love each other, being siblings on this earth, create thriving societies together, are driven by hate to limit and destroy. It's just so absurd! Anyway I do believe that the vast majority of people on this globe, have good hearts, and have love as there driving force. Love is the only key, the only answer, the only power that can conquer hate. So let love grow!
